 Pastoral Team Leader Pastor Blaine and his wife Cindy moved here with their family in August of 2001 to assume the role of Senior Pastor. Both he and Cindy were born and raised in Owen Sound, Ontario and were fortunate to have Christian parents and a strong church family at the Owen Sound Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Pastor Blaine has previously served as a pastor with the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada for a period of thirteen years, ministering in Eau Claire (northern Ontario), Kitchener (southern Ontario) and Markham (suburb of Toronto). He graduated from Tyndale College and Seminary in Toronto with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in theology, pursued further studies at the University of Toronto and is currently involved in PhD. studies with Trinity College/University of Canterbury. Pastor Blaine is a Pastoral Team Leader and believes ministry to be best characterized as a team effort rather than through hierarchical structure. This vision is reflected in the roles that each of the pastoral team assumes and the lack of traditional designations that serve meaningless purposes beyond that of hierarchical definition.
Pastor Blaine and Cindy have four children, Jacob , Josiah, Caleb and Hannah. Each are involved in their own ways as active members of Hollowell Church. Pastor Blaine’s hobbies include most sports, sports card and memorabilia collecting, and tormenting his children and the pastoral team through jokes and pranks.
Youth & Children's Pastor Neil and Liz Heisey are the most recent addition to the pastoral team family at Hollowell, beginning their work here in May of 2007. They have one son, Logan who is a year and half old and brings great delight to mom and dad. Neil is a graduate of Messiah College in Grantham, PA. with a bachelor degree in ministry and a focus upon youth. He was previously involved in ministry at Air Hill BIC Church near Roxbury, PA where he spent six years as an Associate Pastor with a focus on youth ministry. Neil loves to hike and do the outdoors thing. He is known to go on week long pilgrimages to the hills and one day plans to conquer the Appalachian Trail. His passion for young people coming into a close walk with the Lord and his desire to enjoy the outdoors as God has created them, may one day lead him into an Appalachian Trail Missions Trip for young people. He also loves baseball and is involved with our denominational camping ministry.
Pastor of Outreach & Evangelism Carlos and his wife Ruth joined the Hollowell pastoral team in April of 2005. They have four children, three adult daughters and a son who is with the Lord. They also have three grandchildren that bring great joy to their lives. Carlos was born in Majaque, Puerto Rico and raised in New York City while Ruth is a native of Mechanicsburg, PA. Carlos has worked with young people for nearly thirty years and was most recently employed in a full time Associate Pastoral role with a youth focus at Fairview Avenue BIC Church in Waynesboro, PA. for four years. Carlos has a passion for sharing his faith and is not only responsible for outreach at Hollowell but as a part of that ministry, is an integral part of our church planting goal of giving birth to three daughter churches by the year 2010. Carlos has also been known for his counseling in spiritual warfare and inner healing and has completed Elijah House training and ministered with Spring of Hope in Waynesboro, PA. Carlos is a sports enthusiast with a great love for basketball, soccer and golf.
Worship Pastor Dee Martin was born and raised in Greencastle, PA. and began work as the Youth and Worship Pastor at Hollowell in November of 2002. She has received a Bachelor Degree in Church Music with a minor in Christian Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University of Ohio. In 2004, Dee married Adrian Martin, a mathematics teacher at Greencastle Antrim High School. They reside in Chambersburg, PA and have a little girl named Gabrielle Dee has a heart for worship that is evidenced in her talents and abilities and in her lifestyle. She also loves to play volleyball, cook, read, scrapbook & being a mom to Gabrielle. |
